Wife and I had dinner there upon arrival of the first night of a long-planned (and prepaid) weekend at the Texas Renaissance Festival this past Friday. Seated in an EXTREMELY noisy (made our ears ring afterwards) family section. Slow service (almost got up and left; wish we would have). Food tasted OK, but we both got very very very sick for the following three days (and ate nothing else that could have triggered it). Ended up having to abandoned our weekend plans (at a cost of over $800, not counting the Monday morning doctor's visit where we were diagnosed with food poisoning) and return home.

Good salsa, chips and flour tortillas. Breakfast very good.
This place used to be the spot, but for the last few years it has been very disappointing. i had the sour cream chicken enchiladas and my wife had the stuffed avocado. My meal consisted of chicken enchiladas with spoonfuls of sour cream out of the carton, with a sprinkle of cheese. There was so much sour cream, I had to scoop most of it off. This was not a spur cream sauce, spiced or flavored. It was literally only cold, white sour cream. Could not even finish it.
My wife's stuffed avacado was nasty and brown, and the chicken inside (all four slivers of it) was brown and over cooked. Really disappointed. We both walked away feeling queasy. Not many options for good Mexican in Navasota except for the hole in the wall taquerias that have never heard of Yelp. Ask a local.
